Happy Easter
Well Good Morning and Happy Easter. It is a little after 9 am and two of the four dogs are up, the other two are sleeping in today. The sun is shining and looks like it is going to be a beautiful day! That is great news here in Georgia since we have had a fairly wet Spring. Good for the lakes around though. This is my first attempt at blogging. So if you by chance run across this, please be patient. It is a work in progress :-) I would like to tell you about our furry family. Thumper (a bullmastiff mix) is the oldest (12) and alpha dog. We rescued him in the parking lot of Pet Smart when a family that had found him was taking him to one of the rescue groups there. He was skin and bones. So home he came with us to be a brother to our other dog Chase at the time. We may have second thoughts when after preparing dinner and putting it on the dining room table, my husband and myself went in to change out of work clothes, we we can back, Thumper was standing in the middle of the dining room table helping his self to dinner! That was almost 9 years ago.... Hard to believe. He has been such a joy to our lives and well as anyone he meets. What a loving spirit he has. Bailey ( 8 1/2 years old) is our Saint Bernard, our only mistake was that we got him a pet shop at the mall. I have since learn my lesson on that one, but I think what would we be without our Bailey? Gentle giant! Then we have Guinness, who can guess what beer is my husband's favorite? He is a brazilian mastiff mix we got at the Cherokee County Animal shelter when he was just a young pup, he is now 5 1/2 years old. He has grown to 120lbs and loves to get in bed with us at night, especially if it has been storming. He loves to snuggle in with his Daddy , not leaving to much room in the bed for Daddy. Then we have the girl in the family. Libby is 4 1/2 years old and we got her from a rescue group from South Carolina that had gotten her out of a high kill shelter. She was this tiny little pup, but has since grown up and loves to herd her family around! This is just alittle tidbit about the four dogs at the Four Dog Home, believe me you will be hearing alot more about them!
